  • Green matte activation

Caffeine is one of the most widely used ergogenic substances among athletes.

It affects adenosine receptors in the brain, preventing sleepiness, promoting the attention and reducing the sensitivity to pain, increasing the capacity of time and intensity from training.

Xtratus Mate is completely free of preservatives, artificial colors and flavors, and has a natural mate flavor, making it effective for athletes of all sports looking to replenish energy and hydration, in addition to the stimulating effect of caffeine during training and competitions.

Natural caffeine vs synthetic

Although structurally very similar, there are two main sources: natural, derived from plants such as mate, coffee, tea, guarana, or cocoa; and synthetic, manufactured in laboratories for use in products such as energy drinks, supplements, and medications.

Natural caffeine is extracted directly from plant sources that contain bioactive compounds such as polyphenols and antioxidants, which may have anti-inflammatory and protective effects on the body.

Synthetic caffeine, on the other hand, is an isolated, pure version, without these complementary compounds.

The synthetic caffeine is usually absorbed faster, causing a energy peak sharper, but also a sharper drop.

The natural is released in a form more gradual, offering a more sustained stimulus over time.

What is the best ?

The power of yerba mate

No peaks or troughs. No tachycardia or anxiety.

It is a natural stimulant of slow absorption, which belongs to a class of compounds called xanthines.

Mate has the ability to rreduce reactive oxygen species (ROS) due to the concentration of polyphenols, acting in a similar way to enzymes natural antioxidants of the body.

In addition, studies suggest that moderate consumption of natural caffeine may have potential health benefits, including a improved cognitive function, better physical performance, and a lower risk of certain diseases.

Why choose natural caffeine ?

Constant power for 6+ hours.

Opting for natural caffeine gives you a strategic advantage: a more consistent performance, less risk of sudden energy drops, and better synergy with natural antioxidants that protect your body from the oxidative stress generated by intense exercise.

Additionally, choosing natural sources of caffeine aligns with cleaner, more sustainable nutrition, reducing the consumption of artificial additives and stimulants that can affect your long-term health.

Energy and hydration

For before or during

Energy and hydration

This energy supplement is designed to be used Before or During and is composed of multiple carbohydrates fast absorption (glucose:fructose), with the ideal proportion between them (1:0.8).

In addition, it contains the dose of sodium necessary for the absorption of glucose, blocking the overload of intestinal transporters.

Fast-absorbing carbohydrates are the fuel the body needs to maintain performance and power muscle during exercise. They help replenish glycogen stores.

In addition to carbohydrates, Xtatus products have all the essential mineral salts to keep the body hydrated.

Dispense the use of salt tablets.

Carbohydrates as fuel

Carbohydrates are essential to maintain exercise intensity, avoiding fatigue caused by the reduction of muscle and liver glycogen.

During prolonged workouts, carbohydrate replenishment is key to prevent muscle breakdown and maintain performance.

The correct proportion of carbohydrates, such as that offered by Xtratus, maximizes performance by optimizing energy absorption and utilization.

Importance of electrolytes

Ensuring adequate electrolyte intake through diet and hydration is critical to optimizing performance and preventing dehydration-related problems.

Sports drinks, electrolyte-rich foods, and attention to hydration are key, especially during intense and prolonged exercise.

Electrolytes help with:

Regulation of fluid balance
Muscle function
Nerve transmission
Cramp prevention
Regulation of body temperature
Post-exercise recovery

Employment suggestion

This version of Xtratus has 200mg per 90g serving.

It is recommended that athletes consume 3 to 6 mg of caffeine per kilogram of body mass, no more than 60 minutes before exercise, but it can also be consumed during exercise.

BEFORE:

Mix 1 1/2 scoops (45g) in 400ml of water. Shake well until dissolved and consume before exercise to ingest about 100mg of caffeine in addition to carbohydrates and minerals.

DURING:

CONCENTRATED:

Use a proportion of up to 5 scoops with water by soft flask 250 ml. It takes 30 g to 140 g of carbohydrates, with sodium and mineral salts in a practical way.

LIQUID:

Use the proportion of 3 scoops in 700 ml of water. Here we will have a more liquid intra-workout drink, and we may or may not carry an additional water bottle.

ISOTONIC

Use the proportion of 1 scoop for 500 to 700 ml of water. The concentration of carbohydrates per ml will be lower and the focus will be on electrolytes.

Always remember that needs are individual. Calculate the amount of carbohydrates, electrolytes, and sodium needed and dilute with water according to individual tolerance.

All dilutions can be prepared the day before and frozen or stored in the refrigerator.

Products that feel good

I've been using XTRATUS products for a while now. They've really surprised me. They're not at all cloying when you take them during long-distance competitions and need to consume a lot of carbohydrates per hour, and they're good for your stomach. They're very well formulated.
